WHAT'S NEW IN THE 2ND GENERATION OF THE APOLLO X6 INTERFACES!

• HEXA Core DSP processing: This enables the use of more UAD plug-ins in real time and offers more processing capacity overall.
• Improved D/A converters: The D/A converters of the G2 version offer an extended dynamic range of up to 130 dB and a very low distortion factor of -127 dB. This ensures a more detailed and precise audio output compared to the G1 version.
• Apollo Monitor Correction: The G2 version supports Apollo Monitor Correction, which works with Sonarworks® technology. This function improves monitoring in different rooms and via headphones, which the G1 version did not offer.
• Improved clocking technology: The dual-crystal clocking technology in the G2 version reduces jitter and improves stability at all sample rates. This results in more precise synchronization and even better sound quality.
• Auto-gain function: With the new auto-gain function in the G2 version, levels can be adjusted automatically. This makes operation easier and saves time when setting up inputs.
• UAD Console App Updates: The G2 version offers enhanced features in the UAD Console App, including Plugin Scenes. These innovations enable more efficient control of plugins and monitoring, which were not yet available in the G1 version.

Powerful HEXA Core DSP processing

The Apollo x6 G2 is a Thunderbolt audio interface specially designed for professional audio productions. With its 16 x 22 configuration and powerful HEXA Core DSP plug-in processing, it is ideal for extensive projects with complex plug-in chains. Equipped with two Unison™ mic preamps and Hi-Z instrument inputs, it enables real-time tracking with authentic sounds from legendary Hardware brands such as Neve, Manley and Fender. In addition, six 6.35 mm jack line inputs are available for easy integration of external devices such as synthesizers and keyboards. The two optical Toslink inputs (ADAT S/MUX) and the coaxial RCA inputs (S/PDIF) further expand the interface's connection options.

The D/A converters of the Apollo x6 G2 deliver a resolution of 24 bit/192 kHz and offer dual crystal clocking, which ensures extremely low jitter at all sample rates. The extended dynamic range of 130 dB and the very low distortion factor make the device ideal for precise monitoring and high-quality playback. Two monitor outputs, six line outputs and two headphone outputs ensure versatile output customization, even for surround setups.

Precise control

Another advantage of the Apollo x6 G2 is the support of the UAD Console App, which enables features such as Auto-Gain and Plugin Scenes. Bass management and subwoofer integration as well as 5.1 surround sound make the interface a flexible tool for a wide range of audio setups. It also supports over 200 UAD plug-ins that can be seamlessly integrated into all common DAWs such as Logic Pro, Pro Tools or Ableton Live . The interface can also be expanded with additional Apollo devices via Thunderbolt, enabling up to 128 channels for sophisticated productions.

Intuitive controls are located on the front of the device, allowing quick and easy adjustment of the most important functions. These include knobs for controlling the volume of headphones and monitors as well as dedicated buttons for controlling the preamps, phantom power, -20dB PAD, phase reverse and a high-pass filter. Other controls on the front panel also allow important parameters such as level adjustments and muting to be adjusted directly without having to search through deeper menu structures.

The extensive plug-in library includes channel strips, equalizers, reverbs and compressors that cover a wide range of sonic possibilities. The included plug-ins cover many areas of application, from recording to mastering, and can be used for optimal sound design in all projects.
