After a decade of trials and development, the AYA loudspeakers are housed in a unique, UK manufactured cabinet moulded from glass-reinforced cement. The process of moulding the AYA loudspeaker cabinets was developed alongside a UK-based company who are best known for bespoke concrete furniture and installations.Rega fans out there will know that we have always questioned the marketing and science surrounding turntables. Experiments and research have allowed us to debunk most commonly held beliefs and use real engineering to produce world beating sound quality at sensible prices. However, the loudspeaker market is very different because a valid scientific and engineering discipline exists which in turn has created hundreds of competitors in the loudspeaker marketplace. The success of many loudspeakers depends on powerful marketing, eye watering advertising budgets (of which Rega spends zero) and financial inducements to retailers. The funds that most loudspeaker companies would spend on marketing, Rega has put it all into research and development to achieve a totally unique cabinet construction.*Loudspeaker grilles are available as an optional extra and will be supplied separately. To keep costs as low as possible and avoid unnecessary waste, we have chosen not to include the grilles as standard as the majority of customers choose not to use them. These grilles are simple attached by magnet to the front plate screws to prevent cone or tweeter damage. They are covered in quality speaker cloth material minimising any impact a fitted grille may have. Images of the grille are available in the gallery section.Not unlike real wood veneer, GRC has its own characteristics. Each cabinet will be uniquely different due to the manufacturing process. Changes in shade and small surface holes in the cement are common and an expected part of the design and are not a fault. We feel these features add character to these unique cabinets.

DescriptionThe Rega Aethos stereo amplifier is housed in a brand new, custom designed case. Employing four 160 W 16 Amp output transistors per channel, this delivers 156 W per channel into 6 Ω. The Aethos is a dual mono design using a custom wound toroidal transformer and regulated supplies for the sensitive amplification and driver stages. The pre-amplifier stage uses class-A discrete circuitry throughout. The Aethos is a no compromise product with one goal, to deliver your music as faithfully as possible.Design InnovationOur time, effort and money have been spent on developing the circuit and construction, utilizing the highest specification of components throughout. As part of the design we have included useful features such as the switchable direct input and preamplifier output, to enable the new Aethos amplifier to be used in a wide combination of systems. Apheta 3 features a super high-powered, neodymium magnet and a coil meticulously hand wound on an iron cross that is fifty percent smaller than the MK1 model. This weight reduction allows us greater freedom to track the vinyl groove. The Apheta 3 is housed within a completely redesigned, single piece, aluminium anodised body and protected by a CAD designed, smoked rigid cover to protect the internal fine wires, making handling whilst fitting, safe and risk free. Rega Planar 6

The Planar 6 has one goal, to reproduce your vinyl as accurately as possible. We have engineered every aspect of this turntable to extract as much detail from the vinyl surface as possible. Advanced materials and engineering solutions have been used throughout the design to ensure the greatest level of performance.The Neo PSU offers electronic speed change, advanced anti-vibration control and user adjustable electronic fine speed adjustment only found on the RP10 until now. See 'product details' tab below for full information. The Planar 6 will be available with the recommended *Ania MC factory fitted as an attractive package. The Planar 6 is built around the huge success of the RP8 and RP10 turntables. It is the first new Rega turntable to be constructed with an ultra lightweight Tancast 8 polyurethane foam core plinth (a material developed for the aerospace industry). This material is sandwiched between a new HPL (high pressure laminate). HPL is exceptionally thin whilst extremely rigid and is presented in a stunning Polaris matt grey finished with high gloss polymer black edge trim. The Planar 6 now benefits from a single piece, machined aluminum sub-platter, a new 24v motor hand tuned and matched to its own NEO power supply and custom drive pulley fitted with our upgrade drive belt as standard. The Neo PSU uses the RP10 DSP (digital signal processing) generator built upon a high stability crystal. The DSP generator will divide the accurate signal from the crystal to the exact frequency required to turn the platter at the selected speed. The DSP generator will also produce a near perfect sinusoidal waveform to drive the motor. This, along with an efficient drive amplifier, generates a 24V AC balanced signal of less than 0.15% distortion, which is completely un-affected by any changes in the mains/line voltage and conditions. Rega Exact

Each one of our moving magnet cartridges are meticulously hand assembled to the highest standard by our highly trained technicians. The design and assembly procedure are focused on one simple goal, extracting as much music from your vinyl as possible.Each one uses a pair of parallel wound coils, which are then carefully assembled on custom jigs to create a working stereo generator. The Rega Couple 3 is designed to complement the performance of any hi-fi audio system.The low capacitance cable used for the Couple 3 is constructed using oxygen free copper (OFC) with an ultra-flexible jacket. This cable was originally developed as a critical component used inside our award-winning reference level Aura phono stage. The 80pF capacitance of this cable is matched to our custom tonearm cables used throughout the Rega range.
