With UA5, we are pushing our UA line into a bit different category. While UA1 and UA2 worked nicely as simple USB Audio dongles, UA5 is quite a bit closer to your bigger portable DAC/AMPs.UA5 adds volume wheel for an independent volume control, small screen for an easy access to multiple settings directly on the device, full-size 4.4mm balanced connector instead of fragile 2.5mm, fully balanced audio circuit, SPDIF digital output for use with other DACs and special Hybrid battery Power mode, to reduce battery drain from your smartphone.UA5 provides a better sound quality for your smartphone and a better user experience when connected to your computer.Hybrid Batter Power modeWhen enabled, certain sections of UA5 will still be running on USB power, like USB Controller and FPGA. But the crucial parts of DAC and amplifier will instead use a cleaner power from the battery.In our testing, this set-up proved helpful in three scenarios:Consistent analog performance and noise floor, independent from the quality of USB power of the connected device.Reduced power drain from the connected device, which can be crucial when running it with smartphone.Reduced power demand allows for a compatibility with certain devices, that are normally unable to provide enough power for USB DAC/Amps.UA5 is of course capable of running in a standard USB Powered mode, in which the battery is completely disconnected and all sections of UA5 runs out of USB power. UA5 will automatically switch to this mode when the battery runs too low.

UA3 joins our highly popular line of UA models and it marks an important point for Shanling, as it will be our first model using a brand-new DAC from the relaunched line of AKM DACs.For many years, AKM DACs were the core part of Shanling’s audio designs, as they played a crucial role in delivering our house sound to all our fans. But following the fire at AKM’s factory in 2020, we had to look for alternative solutions, being unsure about the AKM’s future. It affected most of our releases in 2021, but we managed to transition successfully, keeping the strict Hi-Fi standards we have been building up for past 34 years.In early 2022, AKM relaunched their line of DACs and we immediately started working on new designs, diving into the possibilities of this updated generation of DACs. UA3 is first of these designs, utilizing a freshly released AK4493SEQ DAC, for the first time bringing the sound of AKM into our UA line of portable DAC/AMPs.UA3 builds upon the popular UA2, but takes over some features from the UA5. Balanced output is now using a more robust 4.4mm connector, we added hardware buttons for volume or playback control and the power output was improved to match the UA5.

Same compact-sized portable player, now with an upgraded Android platform and a new audio circuit.On the outside, M3 Ultra follows closely its predecessor. Staying at 4.2-inch screen, for the ideal balance between system usability and device portability. Aluminium frame keeps the same overall design, just with a few small adjustments, including a new solution for the MicroSD card door. And offering a standard combination of 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs.On the inside, that’s where all the important things changed. Android platform was upgraded to the octa-core Snapdragon 665 and Android 10, refreshing M3 for swift system response and app compatibility going forward. Of course, still combined with our Android Global Lossless Output (AGLO) system for an ideal Android sound performance. We even adjusted Bluetooth, switching to a newer 5.0 version.Audio section is still based around a pair of ESS ES9219C DACs, but M3 Ultra builds a more robust circuit around them. Two Ricore RT6863 were added to serve as dedicated headphone amplifiers, allowing the player to deal easier with the headphone load and resulting in reduced distortion, increased dynamic range and overall improved clarity. Lot of attention was also put on the used ELNA Silmic II capacitors, as they proved to be crucial in the sound tuning of the M3 Ultra, as we attempted to tune it more in the line with our house sound.M3 Ultra overall sounds a bit warmer and more relaxed than the original M3X, while managing to improve on the technical aspects of the sound.

A high resolution DAP Designed and engineered for audiophiles, the M6 (21) adopts a dual ESS ES9038Q2M DAC to independently process the audio streams of each channel. It also supports high-resolution files up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD256, as well as MQA. Each DAC is associated with a low noise KDS clock and is filtered by an FPGA chip specifically programmed by Shanling for the M6 (21). Balanced & Single-ended outputs The Shanling M6 (21) amplification stage is not to be outdone since it benefits from two independent amplifiers to feed the balanced outputs while ensuring a very low noise level. A third amplifier feeds the single-ended output in order to take full advantage of the dual DAC. The M6 (21) offers 3 headphone outputs: 2 balanced outputs in 2.5mm and 4.4mm jack format and a single-ended output in 3.5mm jack. The developed power is 350mW under 32Ω on the balanced outputs and 160mW under 32Ω for the single-ended output. WiFi & Bluetooth The Shanling M6 (21) is equipped with a WiFi controller, allowing you to transfer your music wirelessly or even to play files stored on your network directly, in DLNA. This also allows the M6 (21) to have access to many music streaming services, like Qobuz, Deezer or Spotify. The M6 (21) also includes a Bluetooth chip for receiving and transmitting audio data to Bluetooth headphones or earphones. This Bluetooth chip supports AAC, aptX HD, LDAC and HWA codecs for maximum compatibility. Touch screen Dressed in an aluminum chassis, the M6 (21) is light and robust on which rests a large touch screen of 11cm diagonal. This one allows an intuitive navigation in the menus of the DAP and within your audio files. These files can be stored on the 32GB internal memory of the player or on an external Micro SD card (not included). The DAP is powered by a Lithium-Polymer battery capable of providing an autonomy of up to 12 hours in single-ended or 9 hours in balanced.

The DAP also supports MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) files for a reproduction as close as possible to the original recording. Full balanced amplifier stage The M6 Pro 21 incorporates a fully symmetrical 4-channel amplifier stage, using low-pass technology with constant phase over the entire frequency range. This particular structure allows to reach a higher power, while offering better measurements and a high quality sound. CPAF Technology In order to solve the group delay problem of traditional low-pass filtering, Shanling engineers have designed a new audio circuit, based on advanced mathematical models, using Constant Phase in All Frequencies (CPAF) technology. OPA2211 In this new version of the M6 Pro, the low pass filter uses better AOP from Texas Instruments, OPA2211, for a perfect association with ESS DACs. ADA4610-2 The ADA4610-2 dual channel JFET amplifier from Analog Devices achieves very low noise and distortion while providing high output current. BUF634A The amplification stage of the DAP integrates 4 Texas Instruments BUF634A high speed buffers, significantly improving the output current. Custom FPGA The FPGA algorithm has been improved to achieve a higher level of clock accuracy for drastically reduced jitter and better playback performance in both PCM and DSD. High power & Low noise With three gain settings, the M6 Pro 21 can accompany many, many models of headphones and earphones on the market. Able to deliver up to 760mW of power at 32Ω, it will work with the most demanding headphones without difficulty. It also adopts low dropout regulators, ideal for more sensitive headphones. Total MQA support The M6 Pro 21's ESS DACs are designed to natively support the playback of Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) files, up to MQA 16x. So you can enjoy high quality sound. Equalizers & Digital Filters In order to fine-tune the sound reproduction according to your taste and your listening equipment, the M6 Pro 21 offers three different digital filters as well as a software equalizer within the Shanling Music application. The 3 available digital filters are as follows: Linear Phase Fast Roll-off Minimum Phase Slow Roll-off Hybrid Fast Roll-off 3 output modes The M6 Pro 21 offers 3 different outputs to adapt to all uses. There is an unbalanced output on 3.5mm jack and two balanced outputs on 2.5mm jack and 4.4mm jack. Android OS Shanling's DAP is based on the Android operating system, allowing for a smooth experience and access to your favorite streaming apps but also DLNA streaming. A seamless experience Thanks to the use of a powerful octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, combined with 4GB of RAM, the M6 Pro 21 offers a smooth experience, without any slowdown. It also comes with 64GB of storage space, expandable via Micro SD card. AGLO Technology The M6 Pro 21 uses Shanling AGLO, Android Global Lossless Output technology. This allows all audio streams, regardless of the source, to be processed at the highest level of quality, without degradation caused by the Android sample rate converter. Shanling Music app The default player for the M6 Pro 21 is the Shanling Music application. It offers a quick and easy user experience with many options to suit your listening style. With you all day long With an improved autonomy, thanks to the use of a 4000mAh battery, the M6 Pro 21 can accompany you for no less than 16h in unbalanced and single DAC mode. The load is also very fast, thanks to the Quick Charge 3.0 technology. WiFi Streaming The M6 Pro 21 benefits from WiFi connectivity supporting 2.4G and 5G bands, allowing for fast and stable transmission. This WiFi connectivity also makes it easy to perform DAP updates when available. Bi-directional Bluetooth WiFi connectivity is complemented by bi-directional Bluetooth 4.2. You can easily connect the M6 Pro 21 to headphones or speakers that also have Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, it supports aptX, aptX HD and LDAC codecs for enhanced wireless sound quality. The M6 Pro 21 can also receive audio streams via Bluetooth, for example from a smartphone, allowing the DAP to be used as a HiFi amplifier. Bi-directional USB connection The USB-C connection of the M6 Pro 21 is also bi-directional. It can therefore work as an excellent DAC / amplifier with any computer or smartphone. It is also possible to connect a USB DAC, turning the M6 Pro 21 into a digital interface. Sharp HD IPS display The M6 Pro 21 is equipped with a beautiful 4.7" Sharp HD IPS touch screen. This one allows an intuitive navigation. It is also protected by tempered glass and covered with an oleophobic coating.
