Key Features The Concept 40 is Q Acoustics' flagship floor-standing speaker delivers an unparalleled sonic performance. The Concept 40's extraordinary soundstage, dynamics and sheer musicality is achieved by incorporating its bespoke drive units into a 'GelcoreTM Construction' cabinet which allows the drive units to perform at their very impressive best. Enclosure Type: 2-Way Reflex with Double Woofer, Bass Unit: 2 x 125mm, Treble Unit: 25mm, Frequency Response (+/- 3 dB): 53Hz - 22kHz, Nominal Impedance: 8ohm, Minimum Impedance: 4ohm, Sensitivity: 90dB, Crossover Frequency: 2.3kHz Conceptualising the Floorstanding Speaker In common with the Concept 20, its award-winning sibling, the Concept 40's extraordinary soundstage, dynamics and sheer musicality is achieved by incorporating its bespoke drive units into a GelcoreTM Construction cabinet. This State-of-the-Art, ultra-low resonance and beautifully lacquered cabinet design allows the dual 125mm drive units and wide dispersion 25mm tweeter to perform at their very impressive best. The combination of high sensitivity for dynamics and increased bass extension for realism make the step up from bookshelf speakers, worthwhile. Ultra-Low Resonance Cabinet Design The Concept 40 uses GelcoreTM Cabinet Construction, where two layers of MDF, are separated by a bespoke, resonance absorbing, non-setting adhesive which converts the kinetic energy and disperses it as heat. This substantially reduces distortion and allows the individual drive units to deliver their optimal performance; a pure and uncoloured sound. Simple to Drive, Simple to Position With 90dB sensitivity and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, the Concept 40 is easily driven by any good quality amplifier, providing effortless peaks and crescendos in music and movie soundtracks. Various locations for positioning the speaker in the listening room are catered for by providing a foam bung which can be inserted in the rear-mounted reflex port modifying the bass response to suit positioning against a rear wall or close to a corner. Stunning to Hear, Stunning to See These striking floorstanding loudspeakers are available in multi-layered lacquered black or white finishes. The elegant tripod stand allows the Concept 40 to achieve perfect rigidity and floor contact, which further enhances its performance. Even the speaker's attractive brushed aluminium facia plate is not purely decorative. It's part of an assembly, which clamps a butyl rubber sheet to the front panel to reduce cabinet resonance still further in the panel facing the listener.

The ultimate loudspeaker Nothing looks, or sounds, quite like Nautilus™. A revolution when it launched and still an icon today. Its ethos informs everything we do. Nautilus comes in three standard colors: midnight blue, black, and silver. We also offer a special service that can match any color from a sample or color reference. Where form truly follows function Shaped by sound At a glance, you can see Nautilus is no ordinary speaker, and after almost a quarter of century it still defines high-end audio. Infinite colors Nautilus comes in three standard colors: silver, black and midnight blue. But, as befits such a unique speaker, we also offer a special service that can match any color you specify. Setting the standard for the future The striking spirals and tubes of Nautilus came from our research into making speaker drive units behave as we wanted: this Nautilus Tube™ technology, for which we won a Queen's Award for Innovation, is now found in almost every speaker we make. Thinking beyond the box Nautilus is quite unlike a conventional box speaker: to package our unique Nautilus tubes for use in the home, our designers developed the striking, and space-efficient, spiral form from which the speaker takes its name. But why the Nautilus tube? We want to hear a speaker driver, not its side-effects – conventional boxes contain sound from the rear of the driver, but bring their own problems. Nautilus tapering tubes soak up wayward energy and reduce resonances to the point of insignificance. Every set (except the LS1a) also comes with a USB interface that facilitate connection of a Windows or Mac PC. It can be used to play audio from the computer directly into the LS1. Mac’s have native support, PC’s require a special driver. Via the same USB connection, the LS1 remote software can be used to setup the system. An LS1i can also be used as generic USB audio interface by people that need a high performance two channel digital audio interface.
The SB1 with ‘DMF’ is a technological marvel. By applying ‘Digital Motional Feedback’, a control technology from the renowned Dutch high-tech industry, it became possible to achieve exceptionally low levels of distortion and full dynamic control. With an SB1 added for the bass frequencies, the LS1 system offers low distortion over the full audio band and redefines the term ‘transparency’. This is bass control like you’ve never experienced before.“Digital Motional Feedback offers bass control like you’ve never experienced before.”At frequencies below 100 Hz loudspeaker drivers need to move a vast amount of air and therefore have high excursion levels, while also the fundamental resonance – which is present in any loudspeaker – induces unwanted delayed effects. The result is that all conventional loudspeakers exhibit a rising distortion in the bass region with additional “thickening” of the bass by the resonance. In electronics, feedback is used to minimise distortion. To apply feedback in electro-mechanical systems like an active loudspeaker, an acceleration sensor needs to be mounted on the cone to monitor its motions. This so called “Motional Feedback” technology has been presented a few times before in history but the precision and control as found in the Grimm Audio SB1 is unique. By adding smart digital processing and current drive, the low distortion of the already high-performance aluminium woofer is further reduced by as much as 30 dB, solving all problems that are related to low frequency resonances and distortion. The SB1 sub is a perfect partner for the LS1v2 and an excellent match for the LS1be. It is even a smart extension for the LS1a. A switch facilitates use of the SB1 with third party systems, so the virtues of Digital Motional Feedback can be enjoyed by many.
The beautifully crafted LS1r remote control is part of the LS1 hifi system. It features volume control, source selection and mute, just with one large dial. Two extra digital audio sources can be connected directly to the remote. When placed at a distance, a regular IR remote may be used for wireless control.

The Elipson Prestige Facet 34F speaker introduces a host of innovative technologies. The most visible is undeniably the ring of sculpted facets surrounding each driver, which gives the range its name. A rigorous design process ensures optimal acoustic performance, while an elegant finish allows the speaker to blend in harmoniously with your interior decor. The Prestige Facet 34F is availble in black, walnut and white. Signs of a high-quality finish include a double-layer front panel to which a black or white lacquer is applied. This 3-way floorstanding speaker is equipped with two 10" bass drivers and two 7"mid-low drivers. The latter is fitted with a bullet-shaped phase plug to limit vibrations and, consequently, reduce distortion. A 25 mm soft dome tweeter reproduces highs with finesse and precision. The multifaceted, sculpted silicone surround rings encircling each driver reduce the baffle effect and limit diffractions. The result is a more linear response curve and a smoother listening experience.Extra attention has been paid to the speaker's cabinet. The lacquered front panel is composed of two dense, thick materials and strengthened by several internal brackets. The speaker's steep-slope filter relies on highly efficient, audiophile-grade components. As for the finish quality, it is not overlooked and offers benefits such as premium-quality vinyl and a lacquered front panel. At Elipson, the back counts as much as the front. That is why our designers have created rounded, high-end dual speaker terminals which offer the possibility of biwiring and biamplifying while benefiting from silver-plated contacts to maximize signal transmission. Banana plugs may also be connected to the terminals.Neutral and accurate, this speaker delivers sound which is free from colouration and faithful to the original recording. Impressions of smoothness and serenity emanate from each track as it is masterfully reproduced, without any hint of harshness. Maestro Utopia Evo has become a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker in order to make it more versatile and easier to install in your listening room. The bass is very consistent but it still retains Maestro’s characteristic dynamic range and punch. The mid-range register hasn’t been neglected: we have integrated our latest technical innovations. In conclusion, each register reproduced by Maestro Utopia Evo has been enhanced for even more precision and dynamic range. Evo stands for evolution... Since 2008, when Utopia III was launched, Focal’s technological heritage has grown enormously. Therefore it was essential to integrate the most recent innovations into this exceptional collection. The sound architecture of Utopia III has been preserved, with the constant intention of reducing harmonic distortion in the fragile mid-range register, which is so very crucial for revealing the artist’s emotions. The two loudspeakers are equipped with Focal’s latest innovations, the NIC (Neutral Inductance Circuit) and the TMD (Tuned Mass Damping) suspension. Maestro Utopia Evo now offers bi amplification, just like Grande Utopia EM and Stella. Discerning music lovers will be able to fine-tune the type of sound, depending on the timbre and the power they’re looking to achieve. The best components from their generation have also found their way into the Utopia III Evo line: cables made in France, denser acoustic materials inside the subwoofer, double terminal boards and separate crossovers. New finishes with distinctive colour-ways offer many options for today’s contemporary spaces. The 2017 edition of Utopia III Evo is an iconic line. They integrate a whole range of innovations and essential detailing, making them completely unique. They are still way ahead of any other line.
With the launch of the DALI OBERON loudspeaker series, we have picked the best elements from our current speakers and brought them together in a series that delivers on audio quality, looks and versatility. This large floor-standing OBERON 7 speaker features 2 x 7” wood fibre SMC based woofers and an oversized 29 mm ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter. This, combined with the large but elegant cabinet, delivers the very best in deep bass and large room performance. Despite its size, this speaker is surprisingly delicate and will impress with its ability to render any music style naturally and lifelike even at lower volumes. This makes the OBERON 7 perfect for almost any audio setup and any music or movie style. With the OBERON 7, we have made it easy to integrate your loudspeakers into any room. Both the driver materials and geometry applied in the OBERON 7 has been selected to achieve a wide dispersion pattern in the listening area. The same principles have been applied in the design of the crossover. As result, you will experience a well-integrated sound, even when listening at a significant off-axis angle. This is important as you are rarely seated directly in front of your loudspeakers when listening to music. An added benefit is seriously reduced harmonic distortion and diffractions causing frequency distortion, as these will always be stronger in an on-axis response. This is also the reason why all DALI speakers are not designed to be toed-in. The OBERON 5 is the ultimate performer. A compact and elegant floor-standing speaker, housing 2 x 5¼” wood fibre SMC based woofers and the series’ wide bandwidth 29 mm ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter. This slim floor-stander will surprise with its ability to deliver a deep firm bass. Together with the clear and well defined mid-range and the airy high frequencies, this speaker is at home with any music or movie sound track. With the launch of the DALI OBERON loudspeaker series, we have picked the best elements from our current speakers and brought them together in a series that delivers on audio quality, looks and versatility. We have made it easy to integrate the OBERON 5 into any room, as both the driver materials and geometry applied have been selected to achieve a wide dispersion pattern in the listening area. The same principles have been applied in the design of the crossover. As result, you will experience a well-integrated sound, even when listening at a significant off-axis angle. This is important as you are rarely seated directly in front of your loudspeakers when listening to music. The new Chora 816 model is a 2.5-way bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeaker. Its woofer and midrange/bass speaker driver, both equipped with the Slatefiber cone, work in perfect harmony for a voluptuous sound reproduction and a perfect bass impact. The sound finds its full dimension in your listening room, with a dynamic midrange and remarkable power handling. A front port is placed below the loudspeaker to reduce distortion and, thanks to the tilt of the loudspeaker stand, Time Alignment provides a soundstage focused on the listener. Chora 816 is particularly well suited for Home Cinema listening and blends seamlessly into rooms of up to 323ft² (30m²).The TNF Aluminium/Magnesium tweeter- Soft and precise trebleThe surround linking the dome to its stand uses a memory foam material called Poron. This surround is directly derived from the Utopia’s famous Beryllium tweeter and reduces distortion by a third between 2,000Hz and 3,000Hz, the ear’s high-sensitivity range. The spatialisation and very low directionality of the inverted dome allow silky trebles to be heard from any point in your listening room. The Slatefiber cone - Perfectly balanced soundSlatefiber technology, exclusive to Focal, involves the use of recycled, non-woven carbon fibres applied as a sandwich between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection, Focal engineers have opted to use non-woven carbon fibres, all pointing in the same direction to achieve even greater rigidity and better damping. Manufactured in the Focal workshops using an ultra-modern industrial tool, the “slate” effect of the cone provides better damping and rigidity, but also lightness – the three “essentials” of a good speaker driver. A sleek, modern designThe Chora range offers a modern design, the slate colour of the Slatefiber cone adding a final refined, authentic touch. The stand (optional) is tilted for Time Alignment which provides an optimal soundstage, more focused on the listener.
The Prestige Facet 14F is a 2-and-a-half-way floorstanding speaker. Equally clear and detailed in the highs as it is deep and lively in the lows, this speaker will allow you to rediscover your favorite tracks. The Elipson Prestige Facet 14F speaker introduces a host of innovative technologies. The most visible is undeniably the ring of sculpted facets surrounding each driver, which gives the range its name. A rigorous design process ensures optimal acoustic performance, while an elegant finish allows the speaker to blend in harmoniously with your interior decor. The Prestige Facet 14F is availble in black, walnut and white. Signs of a high-quality finish include a double-layer front panel to which a black or white lacquer is applied. This floorstanding speaker is equipped with a bass driver and a 17 cm mid-low driver. The result is a more linear response curve and a smoother listening experience. Extra attention has been paid to the speaker's cabinet. Banana plugs may also be connected to the terminals. Neutral and accurate, this speaker delivers sound which is free from colouration and faithful to the original recording. Impressions of smoothness and serenity emanate from each track as it is masterfully reproduced, without any hint of harshness. The Prestige Facet 14F's high sensitivity allows it to be paired with any amplifier with a power rating of 150 W or less per channel. Its lively performance make it an excellent left or right front channel speaker for a multichannel home cinema installation.
