Note that this function is limited to the last source that the speaker has played. The Elipson Prestige Facet 34F speaker introduces a host of innovative technologies. The most visible is undeniably the ring of sculpted facets surrounding each driver, which gives the range its name. A rigorous design process ensures optimal acoustic performance, while an elegant finish allows the speaker to blend in harmoniously with your interior decor. The Prestige Facet 34F is availble in black, walnut and white. Signs of a high-quality finish include a double-layer front panel to which a black or white lacquer is applied. This 3-way floorstanding speaker is equipped with two 10" bass drivers and two 7"mid-low drivers. The latter is fitted with a bullet-shaped phase plug to limit vibrations and, consequently, reduce distortion. A 25 mm soft dome tweeter reproduces highs with finesse and precision. The multifaceted, sculpted silicone surround rings encircling each driver reduce the baffle effect and limit diffractions. The result is a more linear response curve and a smoother listening experience.Extra attention has been paid to the speaker's cabinet. The lacquered front panel is composed of two dense, thick materials and strengthened by several internal brackets. The speaker's steep-slope filter relies on highly efficient, audiophile-grade components. As for the finish quality, it is not overlooked and offers benefits such as premium-quality vinyl and a lacquered front panel. At Elipson, the back counts as much as the front. That is why our designers have created rounded, high-end dual speaker terminals which offer the possibility of biwiring and biamplifying while benefiting from silver-plated contacts to maximize signal transmission. Banana plugs may also be connected to the terminals.Neutral and accurate, this speaker delivers sound which is free from colouration and faithful to the original recording. Impressions of smoothness and serenity emanate from each track as it is masterfully reproduced, without any hint of harshness. The Prestige Facet 34F's high sensitivity allows it to be paired with any amplifier with a power rating of 300 W or less per channel. Chora 826-D is a loudspeaker equipped with a specific speaker driver that reproduces Dolby Atmos® effects: for ultra-realistic 3D soundtracks and total immersion in the films you watch. Positioned on the top of the loudspeaker, this full-range speaker driver directs the sound towards the ceiling to reflect it back to the listener. Action scenes in the air, pouring rain or a rolling thunder are all brought to life. At the same time, its directional baffle allows you to locate the sounds effects as though you had loudspeakers in the ceiling! Imagine a scene in a house: you hear conversations, but also the noise of cutlery, of footsteps... all of these spatialised in three dimensions as though you were actually there! Combining French manufacturing and design, this product also incorporates exclusive Focal technologies, particularly the Slatefiber cone of the midrange and bass speaker drivers or the Aluminium/Magnesium TNF tweeter for greater treble clarity. For example, combined with the Chora Surround and Chora Center speakers, or the Chora Center and Chora 806 speakers, Chora 826-D guarantees a sensational system. THE TNF TWEETER A Focal exclusive and made in France in our workshops from an Aluminium/Magnesium alloy, this tweeter offers many benefits, particularly in sound spatialisation. With this tweeter, there is no shortage of sound harmony and precision. THE SLATEFIBER CONE Also made in France in Focal's workshops, it is characterised by a rich, dynamic and balanced sound, particularly in the midranges, as well as a stunning aesthetic thanks to its “slate” effect. It is the fruit of several years of R&D: the engineers have mixed ultra-lightweight recycled non-woven carbon fibres –a first in the world of audio– with thermoplastic polymer. The combination of these materials offers excellent acoustic performance. Specifications: Type: 3-way bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeaker. Maestro Utopia Evo has become a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker in order to make it more versatile and easier to install in your listening room. The bass is very consistent but it still retains Maestro’s characteristic dynamic range and punch. The mid-range register hasn’t been neglected: we have integrated our latest technical innovations. In conclusion, each register reproduced by Maestro Utopia Evo has been enhanced for even more precision and dynamic range. Evo stands for evolution... Since 2008, when Utopia III was launched, Focal’s technological heritage has grown enormously. Therefore it was essential to integrate the most recent innovations into this exceptional collection. The sound architecture of Utopia III has been preserved, with the constant intention of reducing harmonic distortion in the fragile mid-range register, which is so very crucial for revealing the artist’s emotions. The two loudspeakers are equipped with Focal’s latest innovations, the NIC (Neutral Inductance Circuit) and the TMD (Tuned Mass Damping) suspension. Maestro Utopia Evo now offers bi amplification, just like Grande Utopia EM and Stella. Discerning music lovers will be able to fine-tune the type of sound, depending on the timbre and the power they’re looking to achieve. The best components from their generation have also found their way into the Utopia III Evo line: cables made in France, denser acoustic materials inside the subwoofer, double terminal boards and separate crossovers. New finishes with distinctive colour-ways offer many options for today’s contemporary spaces. The 2017 edition of Utopia III Evo is an iconic line. They integrate a whole range of innovations and essential detailing, making them completely unique. They are still way ahead of any other line.
With the launch of the DALI OBERON loudspeaker series, we have picked the best elements from our current speakers and brought them together in a series that delivers on audio quality, looks and versatility. This large floor-standing OBERON 7 speaker features 2 x 7” wood fibre SMC based woofers and an oversized 29 mm ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter. This, combined with the large but elegant cabinet, delivers the very best in deep bass and large room performance. Despite its size, this speaker is surprisingly delicate and will impress with its ability to render any music style naturally and lifelike even at lower volumes. This makes the OBERON 7 perfect for almost any audio setup and any music or movie style. With the OBERON 7, we have made it easy to integrate your loudspeakers into any room. Both the driver materials and geometry applied in the OBERON 7 has been selected to achieve a wide dispersion pattern in the listening area. The same principles have been applied in the design of the crossover. As result, you will experience a well-integrated sound, even when listening at a significant off-axis angle. This is important as you are rarely seated directly in front of your loudspeakers when listening to music. An added benefit is seriously reduced harmonic distortion and diffractions causing frequency distortion, as these will always be stronger in an on-axis response. This is also the reason why all DALI speakers are not designed to be toed-in. The new Chora 816 model is a 2.5-way bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeaker. Its woofer and midrange/bass speaker driver, both equipped with the Slatefiber cone, work in perfect harmony for a voluptuous sound reproduction and a perfect bass impact. The sound finds its full dimension in your listening room, with a dynamic midrange and remarkable power handling. A front port is placed below the loudspeaker to reduce distortion and, thanks to the tilt of the loudspeaker stand, Time Alignment provides a soundstage focused on the listener. Chora 816 is particularly well suited for Home Cinema listening and blends seamlessly into rooms of up to 323ft² (30m²).The TNF Aluminium/Magnesium tweeter- Soft and precise trebleThe surround linking the dome to its stand uses a memory foam material called Poron. This surround is directly derived from the Utopia’s famous Beryllium tweeter and reduces distortion by a third between 2,000Hz and 3,000Hz, the ear’s high-sensitivity range. The spatialisation and very low directionality of the inverted dome allow silky trebles to be heard from any point in your listening room. The Slatefiber cone - Perfectly balanced soundSlatefiber technology, exclusive to Focal, involves the use of recycled, non-woven carbon fibres applied as a sandwich between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection, Focal engineers have opted to use non-woven carbon fibres, all pointing in the same direction to achieve even greater rigidity and better damping. Manufactured in the Focal workshops using an ultra-modern industrial tool, the “slate” effect of the cone provides better damping and rigidity, but also lightness – the three “essentials” of a good speaker driver. A sleek, modern designThe Chora range offers a modern design, the slate colour of the Slatefiber cone adding a final refined, authentic touch. The stand (optional) is tilted for Time Alignment which provides an optimal soundstage, more focused on the listener.
The Prestige Facet 14F is a 2-and-a-half-way floorstanding speaker. Equally clear and detailed in the highs as it is deep and lively in the lows, this speaker will allow you to rediscover your favorite tracks. The Elipson Prestige Facet 14F speaker introduces a host of innovative technologies. The most visible is undeniably the ring of sculpted facets surrounding each driver, which gives the range its name. A rigorous design process ensures optimal acoustic performance, while an elegant finish allows the speaker to blend in harmoniously with your interior decor. The Prestige Facet 14F is availble in black, walnut and white. Signs of a high-quality finish include a double-layer front panel to which a black or white lacquer is applied. This floorstanding speaker is equipped with a bass driver and a 17 cm mid-low driver. The result is a more linear response curve and a smoother listening experience. Extra attention has been paid to the speaker's cabinet. Banana plugs may also be connected to the terminals. Neutral and accurate, this speaker delivers sound which is free from colouration and faithful to the original recording. Impressions of smoothness and serenity emanate from each track as it is masterfully reproduced, without any hint of harshness. The Prestige Facet 14F's high sensitivity allows it to be paired with any amplifier with a power rating of 150 W or less per channel. Its lively performance make it an excellent left or right front channel speaker for a multichannel home cinema installation. All models are available in stylish cabinet enclosures in either midnight black or polar white, highly durable matt satin finishes with protective colour matched, integrated mesh grilles. Contrasting walnut base plinths complete the aesthetic appeal across the range. Danish audio engineeringWith carefully developed and bespoke twin 130mm bass/mid drivers and 25mm tweeters housed in the handsome bass reflex cabinets, the new Tangent Spectrum X6 Bluetooth allows you to enjoy music and movies with the level of performance reserved only for floor standing speakers of this type. Automatic On / OffAn ingenious feature of the new Spectrum X6 Bluetooth speaker is the so-called "wake-on" signal on both Bluetooth and AUX inputs. This feature allows the speaker to turn on or off when the source turns on or off. It will then also enter standby mode after 20 minutes without a signal. So if you’re playing your music via Bluetooth, the speaker will turn off when you stop playing music after 20 minutes. It will then automatically turn on when the same music source starts playing again. Similarly, you can allow the speaker to turn on and off via the AUX input source (mini jack). Note that this function is limited to the last source that the speaker has played. TV speaker - operate the audio with your TV's remote controlIf your TV has a variable audio output that can be connected via an AUX cable (mini jack), you can use the Tangent Spectrum X6 Bluetooth speakers to improve the sound from your TV for your movie experience. This means you can control the volume of the speakers using your TV remote control. The Grimm Audio LS1 is the most technologically advanced loudspeaker system ever! This top class music playback system features now a new ultra light Berylium tweeter with a CNC milled aluminium waveguide, jointly developed by Grimm Audio and Seas. We selected Hi-Macs for the new cabinets, a modern and very rigid material, and it looks great too! A good monitor combines a high degree of accuracy with untrammeled musicality. There aren't many of those around - common wisdom has it that you can have one or the other but never both. The LS1 is the first monitor to prove conventional wisdom wrong.By integrating top quality digital signal processing, converters and amplifiers in one of the speakers' legs, Grimm Audio was able to apply technical strategies no one had used before. As a consequence, the LS1 is not just a loudspeaker, but a complete audio system that only needs an analog or digital line source to perform.“This speaker is explicitly for those who want the most neutral and transparent sound reproduction, no corners were cut.”True accuracy is about getting all the bits in the right place: not losing anything, not adding anything either. The LS1 offers this accuracy, reproducing a truly musical recording accurately, with all beauty intact. At the same time, the LS1 will also reproduce any imperfection, giving you all the information you need to get it right. These qualities make the LS1 an ideal monitor for both mastering and mixing.Don't let the stylish industrial design and finish fool you: the shape of this loudspeaker is the outcome of thorough psychoacoustical and acoustical research. Its small sealed box (14 litres) is much wider than it is deep, is designed to provide an effective baffle down to around 250 Hz.That way, the LS1 achieves a reasonable constant directivity in 2π space above 250 Hz (with a natural and progressive “narrowing” of its high frequency off-axis response) minimizing many of the listening room’s detrimental effects (Psychoacoustics tells us that below about 300 Hz the ear will no longer clearly discern direct sound, first reflections or reverberant sound), while below 250 Hz the speaker gradually transitions to omnidirectional.“The wide baffle halves the volume into which the sound is radiated, thereby halving room problems as well. The cylindrical sides eliminate the classical "big box" colouration that is caused by edge diffractions.”The LS1 is suspended between two half cylinders that combat diffraction and function as an integral two-legged floor stand. An 8" magnesium woofer and a 1" dome tweeter divide the work between them. Smart use of DSP linearizes the frequency response and allows for a controlled bass response down to 35 Hz.Housed in one of the two legs are a 48/76-bit DSP, digital I/O, AD/DA converters, the same clock circuit as Grimm’s own CC1 master clock and the drive electronics, encompassing two 180W Class D power amplifiers of the groundbreaking Hypex NCore type. The concept of the LS1 draws maximum benefit from intelligent application of DSP technology. An IIR crossover imposes exact LR4 acoustic slopes crossing at 1550 Hz, and the phase is subsequently corrected using an idealised inverted all-pass filter, resulting in a maximally linear phase response without any pre-echo’s. This removes the “digital loudspeaker sound signature” typical of the more ubiquitous impulse inverted FIR designs.“The waveguide tweeter, the perfectly pistonic woofer (both by the world famous Seas company) and the very low crossover frequency insure that the sound is radiated in an unusually wide and even manner.Grimm LS1’s carefully controlled acoustics form the basis for the active DSP based filter which welds the driver responses together into the most even-handed frequency response and the fastest impulse response you'll ever hear.”The LS1 is also a very practical loudspeaker. Its digital input allows them to be connected without further ado to network players like Squeezebox or Sonos, or to a Mac or PC using the included USB converter. The pictures on the right hand show a few options.Despite their compact size, these floor standing speakers are clearly intended as main monitors in mastering studios and mixing rooms that have space to put free-standing speakers. The DSP controlled analog subwoofer output allows for easy integration with stereo subwoofers, for those that need high SPL performance below 40 Hz.By selecting Grimm’s own LS1s subwoofers, perfect integration with the main system is obtained, effectively turning the LS1 into a threeway system.More info can be found at the LS1 remote and the LS1s subwoofer page. For Measurement Charts (both in-house and third party – German Audio Magazine’s May 2013 issue) and photos of the LS1 please refer to the pictures section of this page.Features:Unidirectional down to 250 HzDSP controlled frequency curveWell-behaved off-axis responseDigital and analog audio inputsFiltered analog subwoofer outputFail safe due to excursion and thermal limiterMidi control of volume and settingsSuper low distortion NCore class D power ampsAudiophile quality Seas driversRemote control optionDifferent color scheme options Specifications:· Frequency response: 55Hz-30kHz +/-0.5dB. 45Hz-40kHz -3dB(Low corner is user-settable between 35 Hz and 100 Hz, Q=0.7 or 0.5)With the addition of the LS1s Subwoofers, the LS1 can perform almost down to the infrasonic range· Deviation from minimum phase +/-2°· Amplifier power: 2x180W· Max SPL: 109dB/1m· SNR: 114dB (unweighted)· Crossover function: 1.55 kHz LR4, sum corrected to minimum phase.· Latency: 2ms· Internal volume: 14 litres· Height: 1150mm, 1450mm - available on demand.· Width, depth: 520mm X 160mmFurther Resources:· Download the LS1 PC remote software

The Grimm Audio LS1 is the most technologically advanced loudspeaker system ever!A good monitor combines a high degree of accuracy with untrammeled musicality.
