The first Debut turntable, introduced in the late 1990s, was a revolution for the hi-fi industry. For the first time after the arrival of Compact Disc and the assumed demise of vinyl records, an analog product re-emerged in the “mass market” – something all music lovers could afford. The new Debut RecordMaster has been designed to set new standards in this category for the coming decade – perfectly timed as analog today is again a respected source, while the demand for good turntables with all speeds is growing fast! It comes with improvements like an increase in platter size and weight to realize even smoother rotation, the overall sound quality is greatly improved. The approved belt drive design offers low noise AC motor with effective motor decoupling (utilizing TPE), ultra precision frequency DC-driven AC generator for ultimate speed stability. Ultimate convenience is achieved, because of electronic speed change („Speed Box“) and the possibility of playing 78rpm. A simple exchange of stylus to OM78 (not included) and a drive belt turnover to the larger diameter of a pulley is required, that´s all! Because Debut RecordMaster comes with pre-mounted cartridge and built-in phono preamplifier with USB output, connection to both line-level input of your hi-fi system and recording of vinyl to PC/Mac easily can be done simultaneously! Specification:Precision belt drive with synchronous motor Electronic speed control with 33/45 rpm (78) speed change, which acts as “Speed Box” with ultimate speed stability 8,6‘‘ aluminum tonearm Steel platter weighing 1,3 kg with a felt mat Built-in MM phono preamplifier with USB out Simultaneously connection with amplifier & PC/Mac OM 10 moving-magnet cartridge fitted Available in 3 high-gloss finishes (piano-black, red or white) and walnut matt

The transparent acrylic plinth stands on three individually height-adjustable TPE-damped aluminium cones and carries the motor and the sub-chassis. The sub-chassis, made of Corian, rests on three magnetic fields. A magnetic subchassis suspension system avoids parasitic noise normally caused by con-ventional spring mechanism.A supplied spirit level allows easy adjustment of the sub-chassis. A quiet running AC motor unit drives the platter's outside edge via a belt. It does incorporate an advanced DC-driven motor control, that ensures perfect speed stability and electronic speed change. The resonance-optimised platter is a sandwich construction utilising a fine-balanced medium density fibre platter and a 4mm thick flat-ground layer of vinyl and a screw-down metal record clamp. It runs on an inverted bearing with stainless-steel axle carrying a ceramic ball/plate bearing. The headshell and armtube of high-end tonearm 9cc Evolution are fashioned from a single piece of carbon-fibre. A conical armtube avoids standing wave reflections.Features:Acrylic Plinth Sub-chassis made from Corian with magnetic suspension Acoustically inert sandwich construction of platter with combination of MDF and vinyl layer as mat Inverted main bearing with ceramic ball/plate Belt drive with AC motor with DC driven AC generator Electronic speed control with 33/45 rpm switching Pre-mounted 9" tonearm 9 cc Evolution Tonearm bearings with ABEC 7 ballraces 5P Connect it Phono CC cable with RCA plugs

NAD C 556 Transcription Turntable/Cartridge ComboVinyl Rules! Many of the world’s most ardent music lovers believe that the 33 1/3 RPM Long Playing vinyl record remains the most musically communicative playback medium. NAD has a long history of producing some of the best value-for-money turntables and phono stages. The PP 2i is a legendary budget phono preamp, while the PP 3i takes the superb performance of the PP 2i and adds a simple way to convert your LPs into CDs using your computer and the internet to automate the ‘CD mastering’ process. While vinyl LPs can be a reference quality source of musical enjoyment, they can also sound terrible if the turntable is less than reference quality. Unlike digital sources with their foolproof error correction circuits, the turntable is like a live performance with no room for error. The same piece of vinyl can sound lush, vibrant and spacious on one turntable, but edgy, lifeless and riddled with ticks and pops on another. The difference is the mechanical precision of every aspect of the turntable. Why Does It Sound So Good? When it comes to the C 556, NAD has spent lavishly on the parts of the turntable that define its performance, and has left off the features that do nothing to improve the sound. The result is a turntable that easily outperforms others at twice the modest asking price of the C 556. The secret to a good sounding turntable is to make a rock solid mechanical connection between the platter and the pickup stylus.Any play or vibration will either add resonant colouration (making the smack of a snare drum sound like a thud) or subtract the fine detail that is the primary benefit of well-played vinyl. To achieve this goal we use special materials and techniques. The three mechanisms that make up a turntable are the platter that supports and spins the record; the tone arm, which allows the stylus to accurately track the record; and the cartridge, which transforms the vibrations in the record groove into the electrical signals that are sent to your preamplifier. The platter of the C 556 uses a special phenolic resin that is pressure cast to create the ideal properties of being both massive and inert. The mass creates a flywheel effect that eliminates small, and very unmusical, speed variations called wow and flutter. The mass also rejects unwanted external vibrations, and combined with the extreme hardness of the phenolic material, suppresses vibrations in the audible range. This massive platter requires a precision low friction bearing to allow smooth and stable revolving motion.A special bronze body with a stainless steel ball bearing provides a point-perfect contact with the hardened steel shaft of the platter assembly. This is the ideal design for minimal friction, and a complete elimination of any play or ‘wobble’. The bearing is firmly connected to the rigid and well-damped base that provides a rigid connection to the tone arm. A precision synchronous clock motor keeps the platter spinning at exactly 33 1/3 RPM and its own vibrations are carefully isolated from the platter by a synthetic rubber belt and from the base by rubber isolation mountings. The tone arm must have the lowest possible mass while still maintaining a rigid, vibration-free connection to the record. To achieve this contradictory goal, the C 556 uses a hand built arm featuring an alloy tube and precision bearings at the gimbal pivot. A simple counter weight balance is combined with a magnetic anti-skate bias control to make for a friction-free pivot that allows the cartridge to operate in an ideal environment.Easy to EnjoyBy delivering the turntable with the cartridge already correctly installed and aligned, we were thinking of the many new vinyl devotees who may be less familiar with the setup requirements of a transcription turntable. Setup and operation could not be simpler—the C 556 comes complete. Just set the tone arm counter weight to the indicated position, then plug ‘n play.Whether you are new to vinyl, simply want to upgrade the sound of your vinyl collection, or even want to transcribe your LPs to digital files for playback on your computer, the NAD C 556 is the perfect choice. It is fully capable of providing the ‘vinyl magic’ that has made the LP the most successful recorded medium of all time. With the C 556, NAD is offering the best performing turntable in its 40-year history.Specifications:pressure-cast phenolic resin platter with felt mat provides excellent speed stability and protects records from scratchesprecision bronze and stainless steel ball bearing for smooth, quiet platter rotationhand-built aluminum alloy tonearm with precision gimbal pivot bearingsincludes pre-mounted Ortofon OM-5E moving magnet cartridgemagnetic anti-skate bias controlthree anti-vibration feethigh-torque synchronous-clock motor decoupled from base for reduced vibration transmission and better soundmanual operation with tonearm lift33-1/3 and 45 rpm speedsfrequency range (with included cartridge): 20-20,000 Hz (±2dB)channel separation (with included cartridge): 22dB at 1kHzattached 41" RCA audio cableweight: 8.8 lbs.17-7/16"W x 4-1/2"H (with dust cover down) x 14-1/4"D

The inverted main bearing now utilises a ceramic ball, offering a more fluid and consistent platter rotation than ever before.Features:With Ortofon 2M RedPrecision belt drive using synchronous motorUltra-precision DC-driven AC generator motor powerInverted platter bearing with ceramic ballPlatter made from MDF using felt mat8,6” S-shaped tonearm made from carbon, aluminium, resin utilising special heat and pressure treatmentsMagnetic anti-skatingCounterweight with TPE dampingPre-fitted Ortofon 2M Red cartridge3 high-gloss colours (black, red, white)Lid available as optional extraSpecifications:Speed : 33, 45 (manual speed change)Drive principle : belt drivePlatter : 300mm MDFMains bearing : stainless steel axle with ceramic ballWow & flutter : 33: +/- 0,14% I 45: +/- 0,13%Speed drift : 33: +/- 0,27% I 45: +/- 0,19%Signal to noise : - 71dBTonearm : 8,6” carbon; aluminium and resinEffective arm length : 218,5 mmEffective arm mass : 13,5 gOverhang : 22mmTracking force : 0 - 25mNIncluded accessories : 15 volts DC / 500 mA power supplyPower connection : 110/240 Volt - 50 or 60 HzPower consumption : 5 watt max / < 0,5 watt standbyDimensions : 380 x 110 x 350mm (WxHxD)Weight : 3,8 kg net
The latest edition to the RPM range of turntables follows on from where the hugely popular Genie 3 left off. Utilising a range of innovative improvements over its predecessor, the RPM-1 Carbon stands out from the crowd with its stunning design, impeccable sound and affordable price. The new RPM-1 Carbon design has been upgraded to significantly reduce resonance across the turntable. While maintaining the instantly recognisable shape, this turntable boasts improvements in the tonearm, bearing, and motor. The brand new tonearm is a carbon fibre/aluminium resin construct, made using special heat and pressure treatments. The result of this new design is a tonearm that is more solid and anti-resonant than ever before at this price, while maintaining a light weight. The first Debut turntable, introduced in the late 1990s, was a revolution for the hi-fi industry. For the first time after the arrival of Compact Disc and the assumed demise of vinyl records, an analogue product re-emerged in the “mass market” – something all music lovers could afford. The new DEBUT Carbon DC has been designed to set new standards in this category for the coming decade – perfectly timed as analogue today is again a respected source, while the demand for good turntables is growing again! The most obvious improvement is the inclusion of a CARBON TUBE for the tonearm, which increases stiffness and decreases unwanted resonance. This material normally is extensively used in high-end tonearms, but – because of cost reasons – was never used in products at lower price levels. Together with other improvements like an increase in platter size and weight to realize even smoother rotation, the overall sound quality is greatly improved. The approved belt drive design offers low noise AC motor with effective motor decoupling (utilising TPE-damping) and ultra precision frequency DC-driven AC generator (like Speed Box) for ultimate speed stability without unwanted vibration. The DEBUT CARBON DC will be offered in high-gloss black or shiny red, green, blue, yellow, silver or white as no-added-cost option. Specifications: 8,6” carbon tonearm Increased platter size with more weight Precision belt drive with synchronous motor New DC power supply with ultra precision frequency DC-driven AC generator (like Speed Box) for ultimate speed stability. New TPE motor suspension Felt mat magnetic cartridge options from Ortofon OM 10 or 2M red 7 high-gloss colours
