Focal Lensys Professional. The new professional headphones are here.

With a goal to be lightweight yet accurate enough for studio use or on the go, the French manufacturer has announced the Lensys, aiming to launch a significantly more affordable pair of headphones than the top-tier Clear Mg Professional.

Introduction

It is well-known that Focal is one of the best manufacturers of HiFi and Studio Monitor speakers in the world. Although their studio headphone range is relatively smaller, this doesn't mean they lack in quality or power. In fact, Focal Listen Pro headphones have been at the top of the list of the best studio headphones for the past few years. Now, the company has released a new model named Lensys Professionals, which are priced higher than the Listen Pro in Focal’s range but remain significantly more affordable than the top-tier Clear Mg Professional headphones.

These are closed-back headphones, suitable for creating and mixing in various listening environments. The new headphones use 40mm aluminium/magnesium electrodynamic drivers, which Focal claims offer "incredibly accurate sound reproduction." These drivers feature an 'M'-shaped dome, providing a more linear frequency response and improved sound dispersion. Additionally, the placement of the drivers allows for enhanced stereo imaging and better low-frequency extension.
