Toslink (optical) connections have become increasingly popular with the rise of ‘dual purpose’ personal audio devices and DACs, many of which are also used as components in high quality home systems. However basic ‘bundled’ Toslink cables suffer from a number of issues which degrade the performance of the system. Typically these issues include poor quality core conductor materials, poor matching of conductor to connectors and poor fit of connectors to equipment sockets. These flaws typically combine in very poor ‘jitter’ performance which gives a grainy, tonally bleached sound characteristic of poor quality digital audio. Our Toslink cables are designed to specifically address these issues, using a high quality PMMA (‘acrylic glass’) light conducting core coupled with precision machined and micro-polished ABS connectors to maximise efficient transfer. Accurate alignment of the cable components and connectors means the cable is optimised for low jitter performance, resulting in a detailed yet smooth sound ideally suited to digital devices. Mini Toslink adapters are available.Specifications:Construction: Single FibreMaterial: PMMAOutside Diameter: 3.5mmLength: 1m

The new generation of our acclaimed Element, with a solid core copper conductor, designed to provide maximum performance from computer audio sources. Typically used to connect a Mac, PC or streamer to the DAC or digital input in your hifi system.A digital interconnect specifically developed to meet the requirements of USB as an audio interface.Digital theory suggests that data is nothing more than a stream of ‘ones & zeros’ and all a cable has to do is transfer the data from one device to another. While that’s essentially true with regard to connecting your printer, it turns out to be an overly simplistic view when considering USB audio devices. The latest generation of our hugely popular Element USB cable is the Element sc (solid core) USB. Through extensive testing, Atlas found that the use of solid core silver-plated copper conductors covered in low-loss foamed polyethylene delivered the most consistent performance for the data streams. The use of solid core conductors reduces internal data reflections between each strand of each conductor, and allows for the exact measurement of each twisted pair, meaning that all data transmitted along the cable reaches the receiver at exactly the same time, reducing ‘jitter’ (noise) and increasing performance.Combined with newly developed triple-screening and hefty power & ground conductors, plus unique Atlas-designed connector plugs, the sc USB is engineered to maintain consistent cable impedance. Both technically and sonically, the sc USB cable achieves ‘best in class’ performance.Specifications:Construction: Solid Core (Data), Multi-core (Power)Material: Silver Plated OFC (Data), OFC (Power)Dielectric: PEF (Data), SR PVC (Power)Screen: OFC, 85%Shielding: Triple 100% Mylar™( Data)Outside Diameter: 5.5mmLength: 1m

Mavros uses very high purity OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) copper conductors. The OCC process is named after professor Atsumi Ohno, who in the late 1970s, discovered that by heating the drawing mould to a higher temperature than the molten copper you intend to cast, then cooling it soon after, the result is one long, high purity (99.9997%) metal crystal. These high-purity monocrystal conductors are used in a multi-stranded layout, wrapped in individual low-loss microporous PTFE (Teflon™) insulators, and twisted to help lower electromagnetic interference. The four separate conductors are then wrapped in cotton, an additional layer paper, then wraps the assembly in PVC and shrouds it in an outer black cotton sleeve. In the bi-wire 2–2 and 2–4 configurations, two additional solid conductors are dedicated to the mid/high frequencies, facilitating a more stable and open stereo image. This obsessive attention to detail – and the combination of materials & assembly methods which was only finalised after exhaustive testing – produces a cable which HiFi World’s reviewer described as‘ the best he’d ever heard’ and HiFi Plus summarised as ‘one of the very, very best.  The goal to make cables which have no discernable character or sound of their own, which would in itself be a form of distortion – Mavros is engineered to ‘disappear’ in your system, leaving the performance of your equipment to speak for itself. It should be noted though that Mavros requires a ‘burn-in’ period during which the sound will continue to improve.Specifications:Construction: Multi-core LF/MF, Solid core HF (1.5mm)Material: OCCDielectric: Microporous PTFE (Teflon™)Screen: noneCapacitance: 111.14 pF/mInductance: 0.3412 µH/mResistance: 0.0035 Ohm/mVOP: 0.77Outside Diameter: 10.22mm

Hyper 2.0 speaker cables feature very high purity (99.9999%) OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) 2.0mm² conductors with an advanced PTFE (Teflon™) dielectric. It’s a combination most unusual at this price point, and it means the cable offers an exceptional performance which is well suited to considerably more expensive systems than its price tag might suggest. The increased diameter conductors on the Hyper 2.0 offer improved bass performance over the 1.5 version. The conductor quality and high-efficiency dielectric allow Hype to reveal more of the performance level your equipment is capable of, being fast and dynamic without suffering the ruthlessly analytical character sometimes mistaken for additional ‘detail,’ but which is ultimately fatiguing. Termination is with Z-plugs or our cold-weld high quality OFC spades.Specifications:Construction: Multi-coreMaterial: OFCDielectric: PTFE (Teflon™)Screen: noneCapacitance: 73.42 pF/mInductance: 0.5178 µH/mResistance: 0.0088 Ohms/mVOP: 0.72Outside Diameter: 7mm

A sophisticated cable engineered to offer a higher level of transparency than products typically supplied in ‘single-brand’ systems. It’s relatively easy to deliver an improvement in a specific area, but more difficult to create a cable that improves on overall detail, accuracy and open-ness without losing the signature speed and character of these systems. All Atlas cables are designed to impose as little of any inherent character as possible, achieved through careful selection of materials and construction methods, but we feel this latest generation Hyper cable is exceptionally transparent, allowing the equipment characteristics to be conveyed intact. The cable employs conductors comprising 72 0.25mm² high-purity OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) strands encapsulated within a carefully selected high-efficiency PTFE (Teflon™) dielectric coating. The resultant conductor is embedded within an anti-vibration filler and finished in the Hyper gloss black sleeve.Hyper 3.5 is the first cable in the Atlas product hierarchy which uses our Transpose Modular Termination System. Default termination is with our precision fit solder-free Expanding Plugs, suitable for standard 4mm sockets. Transpose options include Z-plugs or OFC spades in gold or silver.Specifications:Construction: Multi-coreMaterial: 6n OFCDielectric: PTFE (Teflon™)Screen: noneCapacitance: 0.0049 ohm/m;Inductance: 0.592 µH/mResistance: 0.0049 ohm/mVOP:  Outside Diameter: 8.5mm

Ascent is the first speaker cable in our product hierarchy to use OCC (Ohno Continous Casting) copper connectors with a total 2.0mm² diameter. These ultra high purity ‘6N’ (99.99997% purity) conductors are extremely transparent to the signal being passed, their mono-crystal structure ensuring minimum signal loss. For the dielectric, we use a high-efficiency PTFE (Teflon™) which again imposes virtually no signal degradation. In conjunction with our cold-weld, wideband Transpose connectors, which give a superior connection to conventional solder or screw fixing, the result is a cable with little discernable character which allows your system to convey a level of detail, speed and dynamics which might well surprise you.Specifications:Construction: Multi-coreMaterial: OCCDielectric: PTFE (Teflon™)Screen: N/ACapacitance: 90.54 pF/mInductance: 0.557 µH/mResistance: 0.0133 Ohms/mVOP: 0.74Outside Diameter: 8.2mm
