The Prestige Facet 14F is a 2-and-a-half-way floorstanding speaker. Equally clear and detailed in the highs as it is deep and lively in the lows, this speaker will allow you to rediscover your favorite tracks. The Elipson Prestige Facet 14F speaker introduces a host of innovative technologies. The most visible is undeniably the ring of sculpted facets surrounding each driver, which gives the range its name. A rigorous design process ensures optimal acoustic performance, while an elegant finish allows the speaker to blend in harmoniously with your interior decor. The Prestige Facet 14F is availble in black, walnut and white. Signs of a high-quality finish include a double-layer front panel to which a black or white lacquer is applied. This floorstanding speaker is equipped with a bass driver and a 17 cm mid-low driver. The latter is fitted with a bullet-shaped phase plug to limit vibrations and, consequently, reduce distortion. A 25 mm soft dome tweeter reproduces highs with finesse and precision. The multifaceted, sculpted silicone surround rings encircling each driver reduce the baffle effect and limit diffractions. The result is a more linear response curve and a smoother listening experience. Extra attention has been paid to the speaker's cabinet. The lacquered front panel is composed of two dense, thick materials and strengthened by several internal brackets. The speaker's steep-slope filter relies on highly efficient, audiophile-grade components. As for the finish quality, it is not overlooked and offers benefits such as premium-quality vinyl and a lacquered front panel. At Elipson, the back counts as much as the front. That is why our designers have created rounded, high-end dual speaker terminals which offer the possibility of biwiring and biamplifying while benefiting from silver-plated contacts to maximize signal transmission. Banana plugs may also be connected to the terminals. Neutral and accurate, this speaker delivers sound which is free from colouration and faithful to the original recording. Impressions of smoothness and serenity emanate from each track as it is masterfully reproduced, without any hint of harshness. The Prestige Facet 14F's high sensitivity allows it to be paired with any amplifier with a power rating of 150 W or less per channel. Its lively performance make it an excellent left or right front channel speaker for a multichannel home cinema installation. Chora 826-D is a loudspeaker equipped with a specific speaker driver that reproduces Dolby Atmos® effects: for ultra-realistic 3D soundtracks and total immersion in the films you watch. Positioned on the top of the loudspeaker, this full-range speaker driver directs the sound towards the ceiling to reflect it back to the listener. Action scenes in the air, pouring rain or a rolling thunder are all brought to life. At the same time, its directional baffle allows you to locate the sounds effects as though you had loudspeakers in the ceiling! Imagine a scene in a house: you hear conversations, but also the noise of cutlery, of footsteps... all of these spatialised in three dimensions as though you were actually there! Combining French manufacturing and design, this product also incorporates exclusive Focal technologies, particularly the Slatefiber cone of the midrange and bass speaker drivers or the Aluminium/Magnesium TNF tweeter for greater treble clarity. For example, combined with the Chora Surround and Chora Center speakers, or the Chora Center and Chora 806 speakers, Chora 826-D guarantees a sensational system. THE TNF TWEETER A Focal exclusive and made in France in our workshops from an Aluminium/Magnesium alloy, this tweeter offers many benefits, particularly in sound spatialisation. With this tweeter, there is no shortage of sound harmony and precision. THE SLATEFIBER CONE Also made in France in Focal's workshops, it is characterised by a rich, dynamic and balanced sound, particularly in the midranges, as well as a stunning aesthetic thanks to its “slate” effect. It is the fruit of several years of R&D: the engineers have mixed ultra-lightweight recycled non-woven carbon fibres –a first in the world of audio– with thermoplastic polymer. The combination of these materials offers excellent acoustic performance. Specifications: Type: 3-way bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeaker. The Studio SM100 speaker is the replacement for the original Studio 100 which was in production for over 20 years until 2013.The first Studio 100 was originally made for both domestic and studio use, however it quickly became a favourite near field monitor in professional studios worldwide. The cabinet of the latest Studio SM100 remains the same as the original model, however all other parameters have been improved. The Studio SM100 now has a bass driver that looks similar to the original but has a rubber surround for longevity and power handling and sits in a ProAc basket with a dust cap. The 1-inch silk domed tweeter has a front plate to lower distortion and a roll surround. The SM100’s crossover was designed to give the overall sound quality of the original model but with a slightly smoother sound, making it ideal for long listening sessions. The SM100 combines both studio monitor levels of accuracy with the legendary ProAc musicality.
Small appearance with large stage presence. Meet the Response DB1. With the DB1, ProAc has achieved in a small speaker, a sound normally associated with a larger speaker, particularly the bass response. The DB1 cabinet is made from different thicknesses of high density MDF and further damped by bitumen to control cabinet resonance. A newly designed long throw bass driver was used and ported at the rear. The cone is made from pulp and mica which is then elastic coated and fitted with our ProAc acrylic pole damping phase plug. The crossover was designed to give a flatter response at high levels and the tweeter is the ProAc 1-inch silk dome similar to that used in other ProAc Response models. The midrange and high frequencies of the DB1 are superb and in the ProAc tradition, low in colouration and high in detail. The bass driver gives a wonderful bass quality, punchy and extended, similar to that which is experienced in a larger enclosure. The resulting sound stage is also comparable to that of a larger speaker. Small mini monitor type loudspeakers, such as the DB1 have become very popular for those wishing for a high-quality sound with a minimal visual impact.Standard Finishes : Black Ash, Mahogany, Cherry, Walnut, Oak, Silk White.Premium Finishes : Rosewood, Ebony. *Premium Finishes to order at extra cost*
Following the success of the Tablette 10, ProAc decided to develop the design even further and produce a Signature version. The Tablette 10 Signature shares the attributes of the Tablette 10 but has a larger more projected midrange giving excellent sound stage with a feeling of size, which is often missing in small loudspeakers.A great deal of time was taken to design a new bass driver with an excel magnet system and our own solid copper phase plug. After many months of measuring and listening by Stewart Tyler, the hand-built crossover was fine-tuned to obtain the best results from the bass driver. The end product is a speaker similar to the Tablette 10 in sound but, on certain types of music and voice reproduction, advantages of the Tablette 10 Signature can be easily heard. As with the Tablette 10, the Signature can be used with its back against the wall or alternatively, on good quality stands. Punching well above its weight, the Tablette 10 Signature has taken the iconic ProAc Tablette design to its ultimate level of performance.Standard Finishes : Black Ash, Mahogany, Cherry, Silk White, Natural Oak and WalnutPremium Finishes : Rosewood, Ebony. *Premium Finishes to order at extra cost*
The Response D20D has proven to be one of ProAc’s most successful designs. Available with the choice of either a dome (D20D) or a ribbon (D20R) tweeter. The cabinet design uses the same type of bass loading as the D30S and D48 models which makes the speaker easier to position with respect to its frequency response. The result is a wonderful open and expansive midrange with a substantial bass and sweet and detailed high frequencies from either ProAc tweeter option. A large sound stage is also a bonus.Standard Finishes : Black Ash, Mahogany, Cherry, Silk White, Oak and WalnutPremium Finishes : Rosewood, Ebony. *Premium Finishes to order at extra cost*

Sopra N°2 is the new epitome of today’s premium loudspeakers. It perfectly combines dynamics, space optimisation and harmonic richness. Sopra n°2 clearly inaugurates a new era for the “Premium High End” by taking into account new performance criteria. Compact, modern, a pure design, character... all these are essential factors to ensure perfect integration into your interior. Equipped with best midrange drivers ever developed by Focal, with the NIC and TMD technologies, Sopra n°2 pushes back the limits of sound reproduction in terms of transparency in a very compact enclosure. Indeed, unlike Utopia, which is extravagant by essence and where size is by no means a constraint, Sopra aims for maximal compactness to ensure easy integration into reasonably sized rooms. Sopra n°2 is perfectly at ease in rooms measuring up to 320ft2 (30m2), and is even ideal for larger rooms measuring up to 750ft2 (70m2).
The speakers Aegis Evo 3 from the company Acoustic Energy Placed on the floor, so no base is needed. In this category usually belong the main speakers of a sound system. The power and impedance of them are 150W RMS and 8Ω respectively, which means they can be connected to an amplifier with the corresponding characteristics. This is a speaker 3 way, meaning the sound frequencies are reproduced by three speakers, one tweeter for the high frequencies, one mid-range speaker, and one woofer for the low frequencies.
The Aelite Series are AE’s affordable high-end audio range, utilising modern design techniques in drive unit technology and cabinet enclosure construction.Following with AE tradition, lightweight high-efficiency alloy cones housed in die-cast aluminium chassis are used for the mid/ bass driver units, providing a fast, tight bass response with optimum detail and clarity. The Aelite 3 is the flagship of the Aelite range and utilises the same high quality HF unit from the rest of the Aelite range, complimented by a 110mm midrange unit and two powerful 125mm bass units. The result is a loudspeaker that will give an exceptional range of performance from the most detailed violin to the largest movie explosion.
The tweeter, mid and bass drivers on the AE520 are constructed from carbon fibre, for a lightweight yet stiff cone, the ideal properties for a speaker driver. Carbon fibre is better damped than other hard dome tweeter materials, providing a lightning fast response combined with a natural sound. The aluminium WDT waveguide on the tweeter allows for optimum dispersion, and further reduces vibrations being passed on to the tweeter. The AE520 speakers use two 125mm mid drivers, alongside three 125mm bass drivers, incorporating new oversized 35mm voice coils with very high motor force, to produce a dynamic yet highly controlled bass response. The mid woofers have an optimised motor and suspension system, ensuring mid-range definition and low distortion. The lightweight carbon fibre cone increases musical clarity, letting you hear your music with startling neutrality. With a Mid Tweeter Mid (MTM) driver layout, with three lower bass drivers, the Acoustic Energy floorstanders utilise a 3-way crossover with high voltage polypropylene film capacitors creating optimum dispersion through a smaller acoustic source size. The AE520 cabinets are constructed of new Resonance Suppression Composite, evolved from Acoustic Energy’s Reference Series, with constrained layer composite to reduce unwanted vibrations which might colour the sound. Finished in high gloss black, white or walnut veneer, the clean lines of these speakers will suit any interior style.Acoustic Energy AE520 Floorstanding Speakers featuresCarbon Fibre drivers for a lightweight yet stiff materialFast response and damped 25mm tweeterAluminium WDT waveguide provides optimum dispersion of high frequenciesTwo 125mm carbon fibre mid driversThree 125mm carbon fibre bass drivers35mm oversized voice coils produce high dynamic range with controlled bass responseMid Tweeter Mid/bass driver layout with 3-way crossoverResonance Suppression Composite cabinets reduce vibrations and colour

The handsome AE509 is the more living room-friendly model of the two floorstanding loudspeaker designs in Acoustic Energy’s flagship 500 series. Showcased at The Bristol Hi-Fi Show in 2019, the top-tier series introduces carbon fibre drivers to the Gloucestershire-based loudspeaker specialist’s continuously evolving portfolio. The company believes that the lightweight material delivers a step up on pistonic power and precision over its ceramic/aluminium drivers. Its low weight to strength ratio brings improved driver self-damping and the material has been used in mid and bass driver designs elsewhere. Acoustic Energy is one of a few to also use it in the design of its 25mm dome tweeter. This decision presumably helps to achieve cohesive voicing between the tweeter and the dual 125mm drivers in the AE509’s two-way, mid-tweeter-mid/bass (MTM) configuration. Super structureAt the time of launch, 500 Series designer and managing director Matt Spandl commented: “We have spent considerable time developing the carbon fibre transducers and perfecting our unique cabinet technology. The results have been proven and I’m confident we’ve developed a new flagship range with exceptional sound, build and value.” The new series introduced the AE500 standmount priced at £1,050 (£1,250 with dedicated stands) and AE509 floorstander at £2,400. The range has since been bolstered by the AE520 floorstander introduced last year priced at £3,650 – an imposing 1.13m tall six-driver arrangement in a three-way configuration offering greater power handling. Lust for lifeThe AE509 claims 175W power handling and is suitable for medium to large-sized listening spaces. It feels understated in my living room and I love the eye-catching lustre of the black high-gloss finish and the way the slim, modern styling contrasts gracefully with the decor of my home. White piano gloss and American walnut wood veneer finishes are also available. Texture and lightAcoustic Energy is one of the first to choose carbon fibre as the material for a dome tweeterRemoving the cloth grille held in place by magnets hidden beneath the surface of the front baffle reveals twin 125mm drivers at the top section of the cabinet. Each driver has a 35mm voice coil and a metal dust cap. One driver is located above the 25mm tweeter (with surrounding waveguide), and the other below. The texture of the carbon fibre cones shimmer under my living room lights and the overall aesthetic is one of understatement, with no flashy accents to unbalance the speaker’s style. The 18mm-thick cabinet is a three-layer composite sandwich construction comprising MDF and rubber. The resonance reducing technique evolved from the company’s Reference Series and requires less internal bracing. A bass reflex slot port sits at the top of the rear baffle helping to make the AE509 unfussy about placement, making it flexible enough to be sited within close proximity to boundary walls. The crossover circuitry is housed in a carefully tuned separate 3l box section at the base of the cabinet. The AE509’s frequency response is quoted at 32Hz – 28kHz (+/- 6dB) with the handover between mid/bass and tweeter drivers at 2.9kHz. Speaker impedance is rated at 6ohm. Standing strong The aluminium bracing at the base of the cabinet incorporates four large spikes to aid floor decoupling and reduce room interaction. This also widens the speaker’s footprint to help stabilise the cabinet’s slightly top-heavy proportions.
