Rega Nd7

The Rega Nd7 phono cartridge is a moving magnet (MM) model with a Fine Line stylus. It tops the Rega Nd series. The latter is characterized by the use of a N55 neodymium magnet, the most powerful on the market, usually reserved for moving coil (MC) cartridges. The Rega Nd7 hifi cartridge promises clear and detailed reproduction as well as a wide soundstage.

The Rega Nd7 moving magnet cartridge guarantees a very rich reproduction thanks to its Fine Line tip bare diamond.

3-point fixing

The Rega Nd7 phono cartridge replaces the Rega Elys 2 model. Like the latter, it is designed to preserve the integrity of the musical signal by eliminating losses due to vibrations and resonances. Its internal design and its three-point fixing system, specific to the British manufacturer, ensure a perfect connection with the tonearm. The cartridge-tonearm couple is now one, the mechanical vibrations outside the signal are evacuated from the cartridge to the tonearm and then from the tonearm to the turntable, producing a resonance path which moves away from the record and preserves all the reading acuity of the cartridge.

The Rega Nd7 phono cartridge uses the 3-point fixing standard used by the British manufacturer in order to benefit from perfect stability and an optimal connection with the tonearm.

Fine Line Point

The Rega Nd7 phono cartridge is equipped with a bare diamond with a Fine Line tip. This high-end stylus adopts a specific profile, offering a larger contact surface with the groove. Listening gains in details and micro-information. High frequencies are reproduced with more finesse, the frequency response is wider and the distortion level lower.

Wide and detailed soundstage

The Rega Nd7 cartridge shines with its musical reproduction. The soundstage is wide and precise. Indeed, this phono cartridge benefits from an optimized space between the poles. Thus, the Rega Nd7 guarantees excellent linearity and superior crosstalk characteristics, which allows to obtain a very wide soundstage. Another new feature is the miniaturized parallel winding using a 38 micron wire with only 1275 turns which optimizes the inductance and impedance in order to maximize the response in the high frequencies.
