A “Bio Sourced” guitar entirely “Made in France”!
Our Challenge? To propose a new, high-quality electro-acoustic model, while reducing the ecological impact, and particularly the use of wood for the sound box.
This "KAP" guitar is therefore the result of an intelligent and virtuous partnership between PRODIPE, a dynamic French brand, whose specifications are to always seek excellence at the best price by bringing together the best talents on the same project and Fred KOPO, an experienced and creative luthier.
An original and ecological guitar from our Rennes workshops
For over thirty years, Fred Kopo has been innovating and working with new materials.
The result of its development around flax fiber, the KAP hull was developed in close collaboration with Prodipe and our partner plastics manufacturer.
This new material, made from bioplastics fibered with invasive algae from northern Europe, has the enormous advantage of providing exceptional acoustic color.
The new Electro AP22 system
Simple and effective: one volume, one tone and one blend… Ultra efficient, to find all the woody colors of the body, and an extremely natural sound.
A completely new result, still unique in the world, for an ultra-accessible price...
- The AP22 system was developed by the Prodipe teams to bring out the maximum colors of your electro-acoustic guitar.
- Composed of 3 cells, a braided piezo under the bridge saddle, in order to obtain a frank, precise sound without being cold and dry, combined with two cells under the soundboard which are used to refine and enrich the piezo, in order to find the air and the woody sound of the body.
A sublime design.
With a compact body with a shortened scale length, the shapes and dimensions of which are derived from the highly acclaimed “Dublin” model created by French luthier Fred Kopo.
maximum playing comfort for uncompromising sound.
The shell, although molded, is not round and thus respects the angles of a traditional guitar allowing easy playing, sitting or standing.
A screw-on neck with no impact on sound or reliability,
For the design of this unique model, we chose to optimize the assembly time in order to obtain a guitar "made in France" but at a price nevertheless accessible to the greatest number. A specific neck was therefore thought out, designed, then tested in order to obtain an optimal screwed process without any impact on the sound or reliability.
A composite for a “wood” print without “wood”!
Based on two years of acoustic and plastics research, we have opted for a combination of 30% recycled polypropylene, 60% bioplastic, notably from recycled vegetable oil and 10% algae for the fiber...
